Janice Goree-Butler is a daughter of The Most High KING.  She accepts the call on her life as a pastor, preacher, mentor, empowerment coach/speaker, pod-cast host, entrepreneur, and the visionary of "Activate Women's Empowerment Ministries." Janice believes her greatest blessing and ministry begins with family.  She's honored to be a wife, mother, and grandmother.   

As a child Janice does not recall a night when her father did not end the night with prayer.  Seeing the power and importance of prayer caused her to pursue a personal relationship with God and accepting Christ at a very young age.  Janice was 12 years old when her pastor noticed a call on her life and begin allowing her to minister before the church. Today, she continues to embrace Gods mandate on her life by sharing and preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ to others.

Janice is the co-founder of Consuming Fire Ministries in Monroe,  Louisiana.  She refers to the church as "a development hub for the equipping of believers to carry the word of God into all parts of the nations according to Matthew 28:16-20." Janice, pastors alongside of her husband Pastor Eric D. Butler, who she loves , admires, and appreciates.  According, to Janice "Eric is more than my husband.  He's my covering, prayer partner, soldier during warfare, protector, my forever friend and dearest love.  The couple have been married 22 years and refers to God as being the cornerstone of their union. They have six children and currently 11 grandchildren, who they adore as one of their greatest gifts from God!

Janice is the visionary and founder of The Activate Women's Empowerment Organization, a impactful ministry that reaches women beyond church walls, providing a safe place for fellowship, kingdom empowerment, teachings, mentorship, fun, sisterhood, restoration, providing tools to operate as kingdom change agents in their homes and communities. 

Janice has experience life's disappointments caused by relational pain and rejection.  Issues that steal the identities of women leading too extreme brokenness, the feeling of defeat, voices of the past that negatively try to dictate the future, wearing the "The Mask" of false happiness while tormented and broken beyond identity.  For that reason she embraces the assignment on her life to ACTIVATE women into their God-given purpose, by encouraging them to stand on Proverbs 31:25 as a firm and unshakable foundation.

Janice Goree-Butler is also the founder of Activate Apparel.  She has the pleasure of working closely with her youngest daughter Kimberly Edwards, who is the creative designer.  The mother-daughter team wanted to create a brand that allows believers to fashionably be a walking billboard for the Kingdom Of Heaven.  They give all credit to the Father, for depositing creative ideas into their spirits.  ACTIVATE APPAREL is truly "God’s Masterpiece" and they are so excited to share it with the world.

One of Janice's core values is serving.  Which is a demonstration of her love for others.  She believes in putting her hands to the plow and strongly believes outreach to be one of the greatest ministries.  She decrees "Few are chosen and they must do the work of many by standing in the gap for others!" She and her team actively seek ways to give back by making a positive impact in the lives of those they come in contact with by providing empowerment resources and tools, such as adult and youth mentorship, scholarships, adopting families, and partnering with communities for Kingdom transformation.
